About NASA's InSight Mission

The Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport (InSight) mission placed a stationary lander on Mars to study the planet's deep interior. InSight landed on November 26, 2018, in Elysium Planitia and operated until December 2022.

The weather data comes from InSight's Auxiliary Payload Subsystem (APSS), which included sensors for monitoring atmospheric conditions on Mars.
